Sir,
Remembering what you said about finding new supply routes etc I decided to investigate the lands of Bucs Den through the arch/portal at the crossroads west of Vesper. I decided it might be an idea to go incognito so I went as Mercia a travelling merchant.
The people I Found there appeared to be friendly but were obviously disgruntled about something. I spoke to the Harbour Master and he said since the war in which Vesper had lost Nujelm they were having problems getting their goods in or out. They sold or traded a lot of their wares with Nujelm. I also suspect that some of these goods maybe smuggled but have no evidence to support this.
I wondered if we could give them aid in some way. Perhaps by way of trade or helping to patrol their seas.
I spoke to Sledge the Versatile who was seeking power cores or crystals. I was able to return later with ten and he was grateful and could use any I could find.
I noticed that many of the pirates and citizens living on the island were very nervous and during my exploration of the island I discovered a number of blue portals in a room at the Peg Leg Inn. I wondered if it was these that were worrying them.
I have nothing further to report at this.
