This was an idea in development in the past that I feel we now need so I'm trying to finish creating it for introduction to get some competition and games going within our guild. Here is a run down of the concept.
The Republic Games will be an ongoing League where our Vesper community will be split into teams and compete against each other in a variety of games and at the end of the season the winning team will win the league and a trophy.
The seasons will have a duration of 4 months, so there will be 3 seasons a year to be won. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins.
The Vesper guilds will be split into teams of the old province system, we will only begin with 3 teams though due to numbers using the 3 provinces of Swaggerland, Vespenland and Windenbourg.
Every week or sometimes fortnightly depending on what we have going on there will be a dedicated games night for competition. The day will change each time to give everyone an opportunity to compete. So it could be up to 12 games nights each season to compete in.
Each event will award prizes to the individuals/teams that win the event but the teams people represent will also be awarded with points to be added to the league table depending on where they place.
-1st place in an event will award 3 points to the person's team.
-2nd place in an event will award 2 points to the person's team.
-3rd place in an event will award 1 point to the person's team.
Instead of having a league just dedicated to one type of game or event, it will be a different game each games night so will be something for everyone covering different aspects of the game.

Now what I want from you lot is to first sign your characters up here on this thread if you wish to take part so I can use the list of people to assign teams to keep them balanced with peoples activity and skill levels etc. As for each game event we want as equal representation for each team as we can get and not have all our best pvpers on the same team

Wanted to give them cool team names such as 'Windenbourg Raiders'. Would like to hear your team name ideas, they must have the province name in the title though.
